Petty, but this amused me. They could have accepted £70m a month ago. But they wanted to make a statement so they waited. Now they have 4 days of desperation and everybody knows they've got money.
The best they can hope for is £15m in profit. They paid £20m for Maguire, the lowest they will get a decent CB for will be £45m which equals £15m left over...and that's if they are lucky.
