I'm not a huge fan of OGS but I respect he's a straight talker when it comes to the dealings around United e.g.:
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisted he was responsible for Pogba's absence against Milan as an injury precaution rather than the player acting up to try and force a move to Real Madrid.
'It's not an injury, it's just some pain. I spoke to him after training and he didn't feel right. I wasn't going to risk anything this weekend. He'll probably be back early on next week training. He should be OK for Chelsea.'
Asked if he expected Pogba to be a United player next season, Solskjaer added:
'Yeah, no doubts at all.'
The United boss also confirmed that Ashley Young would be United's club captain this season as successor to Antonio Valencia, and that he had spoken to Romelu Lukaku who put sensitive information online about players' sprinting statistics.
'When Ash is on the pitch, he will carry the armband,' said Solskjaer.
'When Ash starts he'll be carrying the armband. You can call it club captain.'
Lukaku hasn't played at all in pre-season with a mystery ankle complaint and has had a talking down from Solskjaer after his social media posts which showed how fast United players were sprinting. Luke Shaw was forced to defend himself after being published as the slowest.
'I've spoken to Rom, yeah, to put it that way and that's case closed.'
Mata faster than shaw? lol

LOL @ Shaw! Lukaku even trolled him with this tweet too
This guy can't catch a break, so I guess I can't give him one either too. Let's revisit what other managers of his have said about his fitness levels shall we...
Shaw is ok, but I am always a trainer-coach who sees individuals and what they need. He needs to be fit and is not very fit or fit enough to do what I want. He needs to train individually until he is fit. I cannot judge how long that will take, but I see what I see. I have spoken with him and we have made a programme for him. He agreed with me. How long (will he be on the programme)? That we have to see, but that I don’t know.
~Louis Van Gaal~ for Man United
[Shaw] might have had it mentioned to him a couple of times during the World Cup by people like myself and [physio] Gary Lewin. If Louis thinks that he can get him fitter then I’m sure he will certainly have our approval.
~Roy Hodgson~ for England
I think you need to speak to Mauricio Pochettino, who spent a lot of time with Luke, as they [Southampton] brought him in as a 16 or 17-year-old and threw him into the team. I know Pochettino worked hard with him on the fitness and conditioning side of the game.
I think a lot of Luke’s situation is purely down to the fact that he is still young, his body is changing. But I think he’s aware that the work-rate which is required does mean that he’s got to work very, very hard on that aspect of his game.
I think when he [Van Gaal] talks to Pochettino, then Pochettino will say to him: ‘What you were saying to Luke Shaw and what you’ve been saying to him, is what I was actually saying to him.’
~Roy Hodgson~ (hearsay on what Poch would say about Shaw)
I cannot compare the way he trains [with other contenders for the position], the way he commits, the focus, the ambition. He is a long way behind.”
~Jose Mourinho~
If nice guy OGS says something about it....in fact he'll probably won't say anything publically, but will start Young a lot more instead
