Sterling hat trick!!
Sterling hat trick!!
Ref owes Watford a bullshit pen or sutten
I think that's the perfect example of how football has gone too far.
No one knows the offside rule. Was watching soccer Saturday and they was saying by the letter of the law Harry Kane last week was on side because he was fouled before his intent to play the ball.
Hand ball offside when the official don't know the rules we are in trouble
The letter of the law is illogical or certainly its interpretation is.
He's in the box for a cross field free-kick and he was running to meet the ball where it would eventually land......so how is that not intent to play the ball?!
It would be a more tangible argument if he stood offside at the commencement of the free kick and remained still
The rules are broken
west Brom have lost their minds
Read the following, two ex English referees and their opinion of the Kane incident in the NLD for the eventual penalty
Mark Clattenburg in the DM:
Tottenham penalty: Scored by Harry Kane
RIGHT - The penalty was correct. Although Harry Kane was in an offside position when Christian Eriksen delivers the ball, he is not deemed to have committed an offside offence until he plays the ball or attempts to play the ball.
From the replays, you can clearly see the barge happens before Kane is in the process of challenging for the ball.

Chris Foy in the DM
Harry Kane penalty
CHRIS FOY’S VERDICT: Spurs were fortunate to get their equaliser - not because Harry Kane wasn’t fouled but because he was offside in the build-up.
When the free-kick was floated into the box Kane was offside and assistant Gary Beswick’s flag should have gone up when the England striker became involved in active play.
Having said that, it was an excellent piece of detection from Anthony Taylor to spot the push by Mustafi on Kane.
But the bottom line is that it should not have been a penalty.

So two ex-referees giving their opinions in the same newspaper but one says it's a pen and the other says it's not? Hmmm...
