Ben Wallace is a 4x all star. Alonzo was an all star primarily for his defense.Defense is not as big a prerequisite for all star play as offense but it’s always been a part of the equation of having an all star resume. Plus when it comes down to reserves who the coaches pick they definitely take into account all the aspects of ball. Not just primarily scoring.

The coaches aren’t voting him in over a regular healthy Klay year hence him not making it. And as far as fan voting it doesn’t matter unless you’re top two vote getters at Guard . He’s not on Harden or Steph level so who cares. Russ puts up bigger raw numbers and is more popular. So he won’t get more votes than him either.

So here’s the thing I’m sure Portland realizes by now since he wants to be talked about, Dame can’t be your best player. The team since last year play just as well with or without him. One of those guards need to go cause they’re paying to much money to be Atlanta West.

Dame got stupid range only one similar to Curry in that regard. Problem is Curry is better than him at everything else. A good guard on mediocre teams going have a hard case over, Harden,Steph, Cp3, Westbrook, Jimmy Butler, Klay
