Still can't believe OG fell that far in the draft. He was coming off a pretty serious knee injury but from what I remember was only supposed to miss a month or two. Ended up not missing much time at all. That kid is going to be a problem if his offense ever catch up with his defense. Even if he becomes just a spot up threat he's going to be invaluable.

Yup the injury and how raw he was offensively caused him to drop coming out of Indiana when he should have been a lottery pick, but yeah he was getting Kawhi comparisons defensively

He shot pretty good from 3 this year, 37% on almost 3 attempts per game which was impressive especially after not shooting the ball well his last year in college

Listened to the Bill Simmons podcast and he said OKC really want to buy Melo out for half of the money he is owed. He said he would tell Melo if you don't accept the buyout we are only going to play you 8 mins a game 4 mins per half.

If I'm Melo I'm riding the pine for 28mill and not accepting a 14mill buyout. Up that buyout to 20mill and we got a deal.

You think they actually like how Donovan is coaching or are they being cheap?
 
If im Melo, ill take that 14 mil buyout. Fuck around and make some more of that money on another team too.

How much you really think another team in the league is willing to pay Melo?

If he can get that mid-level exception worth 8.3mill then I would take the 14mill buyout but I would need to know I can get that 8.3 before I accept the 14mill buyout.

I can't see Melo getting anything higher than the mid-level and I actually think hes gettin 4-6. That would put him at 18-20 mil for the year with the buyout and put him on a team that actually wants him.

Presti and donovan are friends from back in the day so I think that + allowing him to adapt to the nba in general is why they're keeping him

Donovan wanted to run sets and have ball movement but russ is their pg

as far as melo if the thunder can get rid of him they'll better overall imo. I'd try to trade him to portland for turner and harkless

Yea, not only is Melo a shell of his prime, but whatever he does have left doesnt fit at all with Russ and PG.

I think a big part of keeping Donovan for the Thunder is them thinking Russ gonna be playing this way regardless of who the coach is so why fire Donovan and be forced to pay him another 10 mil. They're right about that too.

Detail is a great show.

He did a game in the Raptors and Wizards series. Toronto really was exposed with their lack of bball IQ and that did them in last night

You have combo guards guarding the perimeter and not one capable starting wing on your roster. They do not need cousins, they need wings and for ad to play the 5 with spacing on offense and anchoring the defense, but stay ignorant despite every statistical metric saying they are a better overall team

To be honest, I have a fleeting interest in all these series. I would be most excited about Boston/Philly if kyrie was playing. But I don't wanna hear about "scary Terry" while he is playing very Reggie jackson esque when he was in OKC but better.

Don't care for warriors/pelicans because NO is garbage and not a threat and niggas was gassed by the blazers series.

Cavs/raps only interests me if the cavs are losing
