It's only 4 cores and I'm kicking myself now for not just saving up a few more dollars to get something at least 6 or higher

But just some things it kinda struggles to keep up with

Just looked at the requirements for RPCS3, sheesh. I mean... I think my gaming laptop can run it to some degree. It needs a Comet Lake processor and that's what in my laptop but I'm short on cores.

If your mobo supports it, you might be able to drop an i7-8700 or an 8 core i7-9700 in there. Them shits is only like $30-$40 on ebay nowadays.

I typically look for "Buy It Now" shits for that very reason. I've only bid on an auction once in the last year and that's 'cause it was hours away from closing and nobody had bid on it yet.

Damn, 7th gen is as far as it goes. I checked for a BIOS update that might allow newer procs but there wasn't one. Best you can get for that is the i7-7700K and oddly those are double the cost or a bit more.

I'm trying to keep everything accept the motherboard and CPU. CPU has to have at least 8 cores or up to 12.

After some earlier attempts with parts, I think the power supply might have to be upgraded as well.

Don't have to get the parts from the places listed but I'm just trying to see if I can take the path of least resistance

What's your experience with buy now on eBay with open box or used stuff.

I see a CPU that's my price point. The seller is 100% with 10,612 ratings. No box. Has a 30 day refund policy, 60 day warranty. Says it was pulled out a PC, never used
