Every verse on here was amazing, but the 2nd verse might be one of the top 10 verses of alltime.

One of the greatest flows I ever heard, the content, the storytelling, the wordplay, the bars, all in ONE VERSE. Incredible.

This is one of the only De La Soul songs that sonically sounds dope. The flow was on point and the content was solid but i think they could've delivered their message better. They came off sounding salty (imo) , basically saying fuck gangsta rap cuz xyz when it's prolly cuz their style got pushed to the side and nobody wanted to hear that bullshit no more. Common's I Used To Love her was a dope way to deliver that message without coming off sounding salty.


All in all it's a solid track, can't even hate on it.

you've made it clear that only lupe "nerds" think he says thought provoking things when you think they are basic

but its kinda hard to agree with that pov when you JUST sat here and said the bars on "can i live" were some of the best you've heard

it dont get no basic than "i keep one eye open like CBS". While, in context, i think the bar is good, idk how you can listen to that, but shit on lupe like you cant enjoy both.
