I'm still gonna watch the shit out of this shit. I'm gonna pretend it's the prequel to Nosferartu and go in with low expectations.
Also there's never really been a great vampire movie besides maybe Lost Boys and Near Dark so critic's opinions don't really apply to the genre.

But the source material was ass too. Sure Keanu Reeves' acting didn't do the movie any favors but Dracula as a book was kinda basic compared to modern takes on the same subject. Same as how Turn of the Screw seems basic compared to modern ghost stories.
Actually... let me rewatch that shit before I defend it because I do remember it not being very good.
