I hear what Beta is saying and Chi. Some styles just ain’t for people. A lot of indie games are great but they don’t have the budget so if you’re only playing a few games a year you want something to blow you away
Word but I’m not even talking mainstream vs indie really

There’s games that are made by AAA developers that ppl won’t even look into playing if it’s not an already established property or sequel

that mindset can lead to disappointment as well

If you don’t buy games that often or only buy games like horizon, spiderman, GOW and bought Gotham knights or saints row there’s a chance you were disappointed

Games like lost judgement, tunic, and sifu are much better games than those 2 but if you don’t look into games deeper than surface level or only worry about photorealistic graphics then you’re stuck playing BS that you don’t even know is BS

Plus I challenge people next year to buy a game they wouldn’t normally buy (but obviously researching first)

I never played a persona game before Persona 5 but played it because I heard so much about it in 2020 and now it’s one of my favorite games ever and got me really into playing more JRPGs

And because of that game I gave fire emblem a chance even though it’s a strategy game (which I never play) and I wound up loving that game to the point I beat it 3x

Personally I don’t like top down style games but with hades being a 10/10 game I’m inclined to try it out. Just when I have the time

You just gotta give yourself a chance really. If ppl did that more other games could be supported more which would lead to diff games being made

And Yeah GameFly is still around

Why you feel that way famo?

Something about the combat just wasn't clicking with me. It felt like button mashing was the only way to approach any fight and moving around just never really felt right. Also that bracelet thing was annoying as shit and I couldn't understand wtf was going on in those spell menus.

Maybe it will be different starting from the beginning and getting introduced to the systems and story gradually but that demo felt like one of them F2P MMOs except with no other people.

Interesting. From what I saw, the gameplay was pretty universally praised. The only negativity I was seeing was with regard to the main character and how annoying she is. I was under the impression that they knocked it out of the park with the battle system.

Glad to know it was everybody struggling with the spells and yeah the movement felt…weird especially when you have to fight. It wasn’t fluid or should I say it wasn’t snappy

Breath of the wild
PUBG/Fortnite
Dark souls
Minecraft
Smite/Overwatch/paragon

Probably the most influential games since 2010

Replace those last 3 at the end with Team Fortress on PC cus thats who they copied. that dropped in 07

What's good to play on PC?

PC got the open world survival/crafting games on lock .

Idk if you fw them but those my favorites

If I had to recommend one to try out I'd say 7 days to die. basically the video game equivalent to the walking dead with you vs the dead and other players. Out of all the games i've played its got the best building mechanics cause you really gotta get the tools to build shit instead of just placing down blocks

Ark gets a lot of slack cause of how it was when it first came out but I been playing that shit on and off for years. You not dealing with zombies on there, instead its dinosaurs and other players
