The End of 'Inside The NBA'?

Because streaming is the future. TNT matched the money but the NBA is arguing that TNT cant grow the sport like Amazon can.

Imagine not having Amazon, Apple, or these other big time streaming companies for the next 11 years. It would be a horrible business move. Soccer is on Apple, NFL is on peacock and Amazon. The NBA not having a parnership with one of them now is dumb, imagine how not being partnered with them 7 years from now would be.

TNT has the least offer. ESPN is still the world leader, CBS allows the NBA to put more of their games on network TV plus peacock, and Amazon is a no brainer.

Their money is limited.

Silver did the right thing to make sure the NBA remains healthy for the next 11 years.
That very well might be true. But regardless of that. TNT still had the right to match. They could’ve compromised by giving TNT a lesser role in the package, and still dealt with Amazon.

These leagues really forcing you to get all these streaming services.
Streaming is the new era. Why they pulling the okie doke with lower tier ad versions. These ads need to be consumed some way. Linear TV is dying and everyone pivoting even the major networks and their streaming apps

Now while the masses don't know how all sports and TV you can get for free via illegal Streaming

Players are gonna get paid and owners are going to get their share. But the NBA is about to find out an important lesson about its product. The current iteration is not good enough to exist solely outside of terrestrial cable. Football is the only sport that can do that and they haven’t even abandoned broadcast television. Their viewership is going to get cut in half.

TNT potentially looking to turn Inside the NBA to “Inside Sports” where they cover everything including the NBA. I dunno if that’s a wise move. I can’t see how this continues without a dip in quality thanks to a lack of NBA coverage.
