Let's say you bought a "friend" some very expensive perfume like $600 worth for their birthday. The next week when it's your birthday, she/he gives you a set from bath and bodyworks. Would you feel a way about your gift?

No. I never give with the expectations on what i should/will be given back in return. Im just grateful they decided to get me anything. Times is hard out here not everyone got it to give.

I would feel a way, but at the end of the day , I chose to get my friend that expensive gift. But next year they getting a Walmart gift card or a gas card for like $30.

Honestly, yeah, only because a gift set from bath and bodyworks feels like an afterthought. Secret Santa ass gift and it's not even December, thanks fam.

This. I gifted the shit out the goodness of my heart. Not hoping for reciprocation. But that DOES make for good jokes, so don't think I'm not gonna light yo ass up every now and then about it.

Like a perfume set from bath and bodyworks? Yeah I'd feel away still.

I don't necessarily expect the price to be matched when I buy someone a gift cause Im not thinking about what I'm gonna get back if I give you something. Making gifts transactional is wack. But if you're not gonna put thought into it at least take quality into account.

Like I'd rather you give me nothing at all.
