Any of y'all remember this joint??? Apparently it was a minor hit around 2002. I maybe kinda vaguely remember something about it, but dude's name was more what I remember: Choobakka.

So, Wednesday I pull up into Target bangin the fuck outta "Shook Ones", with a can of Rockstar and a lil chicken jr sammich w/pickles from BK. Nice out, I got the windows down and I figure I'mma sit off and finish before going inside to go pick up a few things. Out the corner of my eye, I spot this cat standing near my passenger side on a scooter and he's waving something silver. Antenna goes up, I drop my left hand and put it on my rifle in case it's about to go down and I turn my head. Dude has a CD in an envelope in his hand and he's smiling. Give him the "whaddupdoe?" and he sparks a lil convo about the music, how they don't make it like that anymore and alladat. He then asks me if I ever heard of a cat named "Choobakka" and in the moment it didn't ring a bell and he's like "Yeah, that's me, I had a song that charted at #13 on the rap charts". We chop it up for a sec on some music shits, then he's asks if I have a cd player in the ride and if I'd listen to his CD. I oblige, sharpie CD in the deck, sounds decent... Very much a product of the early-early 2000's, and he's like "if you like it, I'm selling 'em for $10, but if you don't have that much we can work something out. Just happened to have a $10 bill on me so I bought it. We chopped it up a bit more and he went on his way.

I looked dude up: Yeah... It was definitely him. He's got a video on his YT channel playing the drums that looks just like dude, but he's a lot skinnier these days. Checked the comments on the video for the song ^^^ up there and he's homeless living out here in Vegas. Kind of a sad outcome; song that charted, video that made the rounds, 20 years later homeless in a city of lost souls. He was still talking about making music too, which I would imagine happens when you hit that point in your life.

I am not far from DC at all. I just dont like driving through the city. The traffic and constant lights be making the trip longer than needed. I usually just take the metro into DC if I m meeting people out there for a long period of time.
I lived in Maryland for 25 years and never went to Montgomery county for anything lls

What did he say in the first place about nipsey?
Edit, so apologizing makes you a bitch ass nigga?

He said Nipsey was a rap persona and shouldn't be celebrated basically.

He said that person that his family knew and friends knew should.

And that when he got invited to the funeral, got to know the man behind Nipsey Hussle, Airmiess. And that Airmiess was a good person, Nipsey wasn't.

Anyway, Charleston got to beefing with Crip Mac like a year ago. Charleston apologize to Crip Mac this year and was giving him some advice.

Crip Mac said he won't accept Charleston's apology unless he apologize to Nipsey.

So Charleston said he'll apologize to Nipsey because he wants to be in good terms with Crip Mac.

Lol, rappers and shit don't press Charleston because he'll call the cops lol.
