It is pointless to worry about what others think about you.

I would argue that it its very admirable that you are self aware enough to recognize the impact you have on others and would wish to choose actions that leave a favorable impression in your honor.

However in this particular case.... That consideration may be extended a bit too far...

I really think you should go meet homie and not really worry about how others may see it.
