It happens to the best of us you want to have the water boiling before putting the pasta in. Not every pasta type boils the same and not every pasta type is good to go at the same time. When your water is boiling put the pasta in and sprinkle salt over the pasta and start stirring. I recommend you not let the pasta chill for more than 5 minutes before a stir, reason is because it's difficult to pick up the pasta when it's sticking to the pot for stirring purposes

@LukeMoonwalker also when you drain the pasta get the marinara sauce and put a little bit of olive oil in there so it doesn't stick when you mix everything together
