Slowed down access to porn, YouTube, Kodi, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and etc...

Regardless of your interest, everyone is affected.

Shit, you can most likely kiss Kodi goodbye.

Hollywood and whatever affected industries can pay these telecommunication companies to throttle copyright infringing material from blacklisted servers.

We may see a comeback in niggas hustling DVDs/BluRays on every street corner.

I've noticed a lot of the sites i use to stream Movies and TV have a disclaimer now saying to sign up with a free account to increase streaming speed. Almost all of them have this message now, never had it a few weeks back.

how does this impact me

i never understood the net neutrality thing

Telecommunication companies like Comcast and Verizon can slow down your Internet access based on whatever criteria they devise.

Like Comcast have their own streaming service called StreamPix that will not suffer from speed slowdowns or monthly data caps, while they can enforce those limitations on Netflix and other competitors.

These T-Com companies will probably start charging you packages to access some of these website unrestricted.

When you sign up to an account, those sites probably encrypt the data being sent and received, along with relaying through a shit load of other servers.

I don't know how things work in great detail, but that is how I imagine who things would work.

Why do you give it that time frame?

If they're gonna be taken to court, that process will take atleast 1-2 years. Like right now, the vaping companies are in court battling over the right to vape. The vaping companies have been taking alot of money from the tobacco industry and of course the owners of these companies are in cahoots with members of congress who can pass some shit. I say all that to say Kodi WILL be gone eventually, similar to Napster, to now we have 3 main streaming spots to go to. But even that took a while.

In a few years will have about 3-4 main streaming spots we'll have to subscribe to that will allow us to have access to pretty much any movie and show and just like tidal/apple, one spot will have movies from a few productions (paramount/universal) and the other will have (sony/etc).
