Nothing wrong with the coach. The overall roster is mediocre and hot takes had people thinking this team was going anywhere in the playoffs. They had already over achieved by being a 5th seed. All year they lost against good teams and beat bad teams, which kept them appearing decent.
I would love for Lebron to retire as a Laker, but the franchise doesn't deserve him. It wasn't the Buss family that shaped the 2020 title team, it was Lebron, hence the complete dismantling afterwards when Jeanie was planning to sell the team, which was so obvious and a big FU to fans and LeBron (and AD who they said fuck your need for a center).
Many Laker fans don't deserve to see the team win either due just being trendy dummies. The disrespect against Lebron is the first reason. The second is thinking Luka Doncic is going to bring LA a championship. This dude is not him. He's slow, too iso reliant, a ball stopper, and he takes the worst shots ever. I seriously don't get the love fans have for this guy. Amazing stats, but he's won nothing and his style of play can't beat championship defenses. He got bailed out by getting hurt so everyone can blame Lebron again.
