All these proxy wars when you can just address the shit that's being said and deal with it head on. This is the problem with the black community and politics and the blacks in politics. All of these stupid proxy wars to avoid addressing substantive shit.

"All 3 levels of government"? Are you referring to the 3 branches? Because that would include the judicial branch. What they would control are both the legislative and executive branches of the government.

Power transfers IMO is the reason why and we have seen that Republicans go way harder with the shit they are willing to push through when they have the power.

So changing some shit just because democrats will have the power at the moment have to remember at some point republicans will have that same power and they are willing to do shit with that power to get what they want that democrats wouldn't even think about doing.

It's the same shit democrats did a few years ago with the nuclear vote or some shit like that. They used it and once republicans got that power and used it the democrats realized how much they fucked up using that tactic.

That's cool and I used to make that same argument.

But you know what? NO LEGISLATION is going to get done if you dont nuke that 60 vote rule. PERIOD. The Republicans will use that threshold to block any bill Biden tries to pass. Obama couldn't get one Republican senate vote for shit and he tried HARD. You think Biden is gonna get 8 or 9? Nah. You gotta rip the band-aid off at some point.

The Senate is the single biggest roadblock to major progress in this country. You can't let the Republicans keep obstructing everything forever because you're afraid of what they might do later.

What you saying sounds good but the evidence has shown that democrats ain't willing to do that.

Democrats don't really have a built in base like republicans do. So the democrats can't take the risks that republicans do so they have to operate differently. Cause for all those white so called liberal, progressive democrats let the democrats start trying to push certain shit throuh no matter and see how quickly those white voters start voting republican.

Democrats pander to black people for votes but cater to moderate right leaning democrats. They can't afford to lose those white voters so they can't operate the same

I dont disagree, but there is a flip side to this.

At some point the republicans will take control again and now democrats wont be able to stop them from passing anything they want.
