All Biden has to do now is announce his VP (when the right time comes and lets not pressure him because Obama waited a week before the DNC to choose his) court delegates, campaign sternly and pray Trump keeps saying stupid shit.

What also matters is when the actual election will occur. It should be noted that social media will be bigger than ever now.

Whats funny is that if we look at his voting record and policies...

Health care: "Establishment" Dems have been for universal health care forever...hillary was the one that tried to make it actually happen. Biden supported a public option during the aca passage and supports one now.

Climate: Well established that biden was one of the first senators to push for climate legislation

Immigration: Supported gang of eight bill that included path to citizenship, daca and strong borders. Wouldve saved everybody alot of heartache. Thank tea party republicans and some open boder liberals for it not passing. Ironically bernie was on the side of republicans for most of it.

Criminal justice reform: this you can bash biden on. As vp he discussed numerous times where it went wrong including private prisons exploding in red states and racist enforcement by republican governors and mayors.

Economy: pretty much by the book middle class economics. Tax cuts for the middle class. Tax hikes for the wealthy. The one big thing he was weak on is trade.


So biden has always been for alot of "progressive" ideas. He compromised alot and was to the right on a few issues too. But this narrative that he was essentially a republican during his career is completely false (not that its gonna stop some from peddling it).

Of this I can agree. It’s pretty much the only reason I will be voting for Biden at this point.

The problem is. The world doesn’t stop in 4 years.

Biden’s policy platform, historical tendencies, and allegiance to the Corporate Establishment in their current form - are so bad, that an argument can be made that his administration could threaten progressive values for generations rather than just 4 years with a Trump 2nd term...

And here’s the thing - this isn’t just a vanity election.

Progressive values in 2020 are life altering for the entire country; and by extension the world.

Trump could be a threat to our Democracy. Yes.

But we also have urgent existential threats to our society and planetary ecosystem - that no one on the left is talking about except Progressives.

Y’all think this is some cult of personality shit about Bernie Sanders. SMDH

- When we have 10 years to implement aggressive action on Climate Change, before our grandchildren are forced to wear gas masks to go outside and endure month long, deadly droughts and heat waves, constant CAT 5 hurricanes, and disastrous social, Political and economic effects

- 40,000 people dying every year, 80 million people are rationing drugs; and 500,000 ppl going bankrupt due to inadequate Healthcare

- Historic levels of Income Inequality are on the verge of destroying our economy and politics as we know it ... when in the last 30 years the Top 1% has grown $21 Trillion richer ... and the bottom 50% has grown $91 Billion poorer

- When many millennials can’t even buy a house or start a family with 40 year stagnant wages, gig economy jobs with no benefits and little job security; $2 Trillion in collective student loan debt, and an affordability crisis amounting to a cost of living that is radically out of balance with standard income

- And US imperialism constantly keeping us in the edge of wars costing Trillions, killing thousands, and straining global partnerships around the word.

THIS IS WHY we need to drag this Neoloberal dinosaur to the left on policy. Because people’s lives depend on it.

This isn’t about our ego. It is about our future, our families and our country


What is infuriating is that most people will gaslight and call talk like this crazy today... while obsessing over partisan politics, how many black churches in the South a candidate went to, Joe Rogan, or how “mean” some Bernie Bros were on Twitter

But then 5-10 years from now they will complain and act all upset about the very reality that they enthusiastically ushered in with their willful ignorance when they refused the chance to actually do something about it

On the real though, didnt Biden promise that he would put a black woman in the Supreme Court? Imo thats more important than a black woman as a vp.
