I love some Teyana but she a millionaire before her first album was released and she'll continue to be a millionaire after this last one is forgotten

There's no one to blame for folks lack of interest but herself. She tried to compare herself to a lot of greats instead of just trying to be her.

If she truly loved music for the art, retiring wouldnt ever be an option. Her and Jhene both 3 albums in and the difference in they career is Jhene never cried about being appreciated or having a cs(to my knowledge).

All she gotta do is continue to churn out music her fans like and take advantage of the features she get. Appreciation is sometimes a slow burn

If I had to guess i'd say writing and her work with Pharrell and Kanye/Good. Modeling. Hosting. Choreographing.

I'm tired of these entitled ass celebs when shit don't go their way in the industry they get to talking stupid. Whoever said it in this thread was right, Teyana has had way more opportunities than her peers who have just only been in the game like 3-4 years. Teyana has been around since she was 15-16 yrs old. She signed w/Kanye and they don't promote her music ok...why sign with his label?

I actually listened to her current album awhile back and that shit was not good even with the features she had on it. Go do some movies for a few yrs then come back and.get away from GOOD music and go indy.

I mean something is obviously not being done properly if she's dropped that many projects, been signed to Star Trak and Good Music and she's still best known for singing background vocals on a couple MBDTF tracks or dancing in the Fade video.

Now that's not necessarily her fault, it easily could be but it could also easily be a management or label issue. Idk what her relationship is like with other GOOD artists but imo there should be no reason there aren't Teyana hooks on every album or mixtape before she had kids.

I'd say bad management & label issues. At this point though, why sign to a label? A mainstream label when you got Spotify, Tidal, & Apple? Shit all she has to do is market her own music and get paid through the streaming companies.
