You said this like he didn't create this shit from scratch. Like it's nothing to just think this up and write a screenplay before anyone even offers a dime.
Actors and everyone involved in the film got paid for their services unless it's backend deals we don't know about. Whereas Nolan is putting in hours of work without seeing a penny on a gamble.
