FEATURED Target Plans To Lay Off 1800 Employees

test

No what? Did they drop all the products or not?

Edit: Nevermind, I see that some products were dropped, but it's unclear to me if they were dropped because of the ending of the DEI program or as a result of low sales due to the boycott. I'm guessing some of both.

How did Kai partner with Target?

I know he goes to Walmart all the time and the same thing happens where he just shops and he gets mobbed by people so it’s weird how there’s a partnership

Target has been doing everything except reinstating their dei practices and failing miserably.

This like the third or 4th black person they've met with

Target is still fumbling the bag with Black shoppers and is hoping Kai Cenat can fix it.

Target is starting to feel like that toxic situationship we all warn each other about: the one doing the absolute most to win you back without ever apologizing for the damage they caused.

Black communities across the country are still actively boycotting the retail giant over its rollback of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs. And instead of addressing those concerns directly, Target seems to be betting big on performative partnerships to win folks back. The latest move? Teaming up with popular streamer Kai Cenat and his content collective, AMP (Any Means Possible), to launch a personal care brand called “TONE,” available exclusively at Target.

I been out the loop, but is Target really trotting out celebs as a preventative measure or is their bottom line really hurting? Cuz it’s all fun and games until it’s tax free weekend and kids need some damn school clothes.

Just last month:

Yall the same mfs who didn't want to boycott for a day but now it's fuck Kai. Lmaaooo. Niggas man. 🤦🏿
What is a day gonna do? What is a month gonna do? Boycott don't shake no more because niggas ask for the barest of minimums and don't continue to press once you get a little of crumbs of their plate. You're supposed to move in a way that actually hurts them long term, that benefits you way more. A day is just for pretend activists.
