No ! If you're good at your craft you'll evolve. You shouldn't be rhyming about the same topics that you came in the game rhyming about. We the only ones who wanna put a cap on the genre. Then complain the genre don't get the same respect rock and country music do

No artists shouldn't have an expiration date. but rap in particular is a genre where trends move fast so your longevity as an artist is shorter than artists of other genres. Your fans wanting to even hear you/support you into your 40s and 50s is a rare feat to accomplish.
