He said if the rest of the WNBA wore the same outfit that she ACTUALLY wore, they would sell merch. And that's 100% factually accurate. It's not even a hypothetical; as I said earlier in the thread, it's the whole reason why lingerie football is still around while the actually competent women's leagues have come and gone over the years with little to no fanfare.

Bruh I think we all know that women know sex sells. Women who are playing their sport at that time don’t want to sexualized. You dot. See women athletes twerking at games. And I don’t think women who do softball soccer or basketball wanna wear short with the pussy out just to get more fans.

Angel Reese in particular is known for thottin about half dressed. Titties out, cheeks out, all over the place. When you think of Angel Reese you don't think of her ball playing ability 'cause I'm pretty sure none of y'all have ever watched a single game of hers in its entirety, so lets not lie about that shit. No, it's her IG and TikTok presence that people know her for and that ain't exactly NOT selling sex.

The WNBA needs to be more exciting to watch, and dunking and Showtime-level of plays are what needs to happen so the highlight reels are worth watching, which would attract people to actually pay to see the games. Without that, they're going to continue the way they are and are pretty much doomed.

I doubt anyone wants that to happen, myself included.

In order for the WNBA to sell tickets, they gotta step their game up. More slick shit on the court, way more dunks, more crazy ass plays that will elicit a response from the crowd. More playground, less clinical. Do that and I'm pretty sure they could fill an arena, especially with the NBA being a huge 3-pointer snoozefest at the moment.

The bold is questionable. It's certainly true for some, but damn sure not true for others. I think it would be more accurate to say they want to sell sex or be seen as sexy on their own terms, which isn't wrong. When Angel is making social media posts in revealing clothing, she is for sure selling sex. However, when she's trying to sit down with Shaq and have a basketball conversation, she's not.
