Shannon Sharpe Leaves Undisputed

Congrats on him being Stephen A's little dude.

2 days???

Not 5 days a week like it was with Skip, but just 2 days???

To me, that's more disrespectful than anything.

ESPN doesn't even see him as Stephen A's equal.

Or doesn't think enough of him to give him equal billing.

Gonna be interesting to see how all of this plays out.

Or...and this maybe a stretch here but follow me on this...Shannon CHOSE to work that kinda schedule.

Not exactly.

He chose to accept it, because that's the only thing they offered him.

So, in a way, he really didn't have any choice at all since they made him an offer he couldn't..........or rather, couldn't afford to refuse.

Yes. 2 days for the football season works for Shannon. Why should he do more?

It’s disrespectful that’s he’s only on Mondays and Tuesdays for the time being?

FOH

Sooooo you was actually there during his negotiations to come on board? Look at you Media Agent to the stars Deadeye! Lol

So Mad Dog Russo didn't have a choice either huh? He's on there about once or twice a week. What about the Playmaker Micheal Irvin. He was only there on Mondays.

Either way....good shyt. I'm lookin forward to seeing him and SAS discuss social issues inside/outside sports.

Based on what's been reported, it definitely doesn't seem like a win.

Don't really understand why everybody's trying to make it seem like it is either.

Business is business.

I don't think Skip disrespected him at all.

Shannon just got in his feelings and let his emotions get the best of him.

everything you accused shannon of doing, skip actually did

skip scoffed at sharpe’s HOF career and wrote his legit critique of brady’s on-field performance off as jealousy of tom’s success

skip essentially told this man he wasn’t shit

if you consider this respect i hate to see what you put up with

Y'all are just as emotional as he is.

Me, I would've found something harder to clap back at him with.

If that's all it takes for him to fold, maybe a limited role is better for him.

Has nothing to do with that lol

They been rotating guest for min

It gonna be a combo of Shannon, RC and one other person I cant think if at this moment

*edit* Its Marcus Spears

Skip is doing the same thing with Richard Sherman, Mike Irvin and Keyshawn Johnson

Shannon was a co-host with Skip for what, 5 or 6 years???

Most people would agree that he carried the show and nobody would even be checking for it if it wasn't for him.

But now, ESPN has him on the same level as people they've got in rotation......who've never carried a show like Undisputed for 5 days/week for at least 5 years............and y'all really don't see that as a step down???

You say Skip's show is gonna be the same way, got it.

He's basically copying what First Take has been doing for the past few years.

But who's gonna be the one constant on Undisputed now?

Skip.

Who's gonna be the one constant on First Take?

Stephen A Smith.

See where I'm going with this?

After all the work he put in on Undisputed, ESPN looks at him the same way they do Marcus Spears and RC???

And that's not disrespect???

Kobe wtf clip.gif

If it's not disrespect, they definitely don't hold him in high regard if all they're offering him is a spot in rotation for 2 days/week.

^^^ That's worse (more disrespectful) than the more well-known blow up they had.

What y'all don't understand, is that the only thing Skip cares about is the show.

He thought it was good tv, and.........ironically.......he was right.

Simply because people are still talking about those clips today.

He got the reaction out of Shannon that he wanted, but Shannon took it too heart.

Look, I'm gonna miss Undisputed because Shannon was always pure comedy.

I wish him all the best, but I still think he made a mistake by leaving the show.
