Right now their new strategy is sign a ton of new guys and throw them into the ocean and see who emerges as the top guys. They are also working with a new call up system where if you poppin in NXT for like a year, you’re gonna get called up. No more folks spending 2-3 years at the PC. They’re gonna start accelerating the call up process

That’s kinda exciting and scary at the same time. It takes time for people to really develop and some talented folks are gonna get lost in the machine if they go this route

That’s why they’re slowing down signing collegiate athletes through their NIL program & focusing on indie guys. NIL men develop significantly slower than the NIL women. So they’re going out & scoping the indie scene; signing indie guys who are already experienced and just need the wwe tv polish.

You’re gonna start seeing newer folks on the main roster within a year.

I like the idea of it but more interested to see the long term impact of it and how it affects the raw and smackdown creative
 


Thats the most non-biased version of events. That's after CM Punk's agent flat out said they werent getting renewed after the merger.

Scuttlebutt is that they already know the deal and thats why they launched their MyAEW app and that their looking at YouTube if they cant get another broadcast partner.
