Multiple sources have confirmed that WWE and AJ Styles have come to terms on a new deal that will keep him officially with the company.

The belief among those we've spoken with is that he will be helping with development of talent.

Styles has made it clear he is done with performing in the ring.
 
Why would AJ go to AEW?

To get a debilitating injury that will inevitably heal wrong?

Trick Williams may be forcing WWE's hand.

Trick Williams has debuted on the main roster of WWE to great fanfare, and WWE may be responding accordingly.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reports there is a strong sentiment that Trick is connections with the WWE crowd in a strong way, and there's a push for him to be presented as a babyface. They're told that these conversations did take place before he debuted, but have re-emerged after his reactions from fans.

The WWE Title picture is still in flux.

Drew McIntyre is the current WWE champion, but the WrestleMania title picture isn't quite clear as of yet. Cody Rhodes has been feuding with Drew, and is involved in the WWE Elimination Chamber, and is expected to be involved in the title scenario.

However, WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that Jacob Fatu has a lot of support within the WWE creative department for involvement in the WWE Title scene for WrestleMania. It was also noted that there are a number of departments that are facing deadlines to prepare WrestleMania materials, and there's panic in some of those departments in Stamford for fear they're falling behind preparing those promotional materials.

Jacob Fatu is not in the Elimination Chamber this weekend, so would need to be factored in another way.

It’s definitely happening I just didn’t think it would be this soon. He’s barely been on the main roster 2 months. I kinda get it tho cause he’s undeniable right now & they have him doing HELLA media.
