Another big WWE talent was recently in a negotiation period that came down to the wire.

Fightful Select has learned that New Day member Xavier Woods was recently in a negotiation period with WWE that resulted in him signing a multi-year extension to remain with the company. His contract would have been up in September 2025, but the two sides were able to come to terms on a deal.

Those that we spoke to said that the deal came down to the wire and was actually only finalized in September.

Woods is a former King of the Ring winner, and considered one of the greatest tag-team wrestlers of all time. He’s also instrumental in the UpUpDownDown brand, which is nearing 2.5 million subscribers.

We have no information on the deal of Kofi Kingston. In 2019, all the members of New Day signed new, matching deals. However, all of them had sustained injuries that could have possibly added injury time. Again, that isn’t confirmed to have happened either.

WWE has reached a contract impasse with a number of talent who have been willing to walk away of late, including Jazmyn Nyx, Killer Kross and Santos Escobar. However, Xavier Woods and Bronson Reed have been revealed by Fightful as staying with the company.

No reason as to why he can’t be an upper mid card heel. Especially on sorry ass Road Dogg Smackdown. Man shoutout to Santos cause the price of the brick just went up for mid card talent

Ayo I hope they all took note of this shit for when their contracts coming up.

AEW sold out a stadium show the same weekend WWE ran 3 shows, and that happened HERE. Pretending like they can’t do it again when absolutely nobody in North America or anywhere else for that matter is gonna fly out to mfkn Saudi Arabia is delusional

So, surprise! AEW lied about their attendance. Again. Can't wait to hear the brigade explain how selling 20k for a stadium that fits 40k is a sell-out.

The word at WWE NXT last night was that WWE was looking at bringing in current New Japan Pro Wrestling Strong star TJP into the Performance Center as a Guest Coach later this month, PWInsiderElite.com can confirm.
