Idk if i buy the english story tho cus they got my boy Santos right there n he checks all of the boxes and could have been that. Good in ring, on the mic, proven he can work as face or a heel and they still not doing shit with him

As a matter of fact when they signed him I said it would be a wrap for Andrade as far as being their big Mexican star if he came back cus Santos checked all those boxes

And now its not just him they also got other guys capable of filling the role who can cut promos in english but they dont use them

Fans need to get realistic. AEW is competing with TNA not WWE. At least that's a fight they can still win.

AEW is losing to NXT, but you saying it's good business to go up against Wrestlemania?!

Yeah because its a horrible idea to do a stadium show in the states while WWE is overseas where most fans probably wont be able to causally go. Yeah its smart business in general.

Your angle might even be well folks are still going to tune in to WrestleMania..Mania is starting at what 12:30pm and done by 4pm? AEW can put their show at normal time 8-11 and call it a day. Business is business and thats a smart move without interfering with Mania at the same time.

AEW sold out a stadium show the same weekend WWE ran 3 shows, and that happened HERE. Pretending like they can’t do it again when absolutely nobody in North America or anywhere else for that matter is gonna fly out to mfkn Saudi Arabia is delusional

Now then, it's not a conspiracy to believe that what wrestling presents as "real" is actually fake, since that is the entire premise of wrestling. Kayfabe, anyone? Enjoy learning about it on WWE Unreal if you want, because I heard reality shows are real too.

But bump alllll of that. AEW's broadcast partner is rumored to be up for sale. Will they even have a TV deal by 2027? Collision at the least, seems perilously close to joining Rampage, Battle of the Belts, Dark and Elevation, and All Access as the latest AEW show to be taken off-air. That's today.

AEW's existence, at least as we know it, is hanging in the balance as a consequence of WBD's current maneuvering. And that's without taking into account the plummeting ratings, miniscule attendance, 100 millions of dollars of debt, or non-existent social media presence. And still you're pontificating about how good of a business decision it would be to counter-program Wrestlemania, one of the biggest entertainment brands on Earth 18 months from now? That's delusional.

WWE's WrestlePalooza is getting plugged on the main page of the Disney+ streaming service, directing fans thay they can watch the show with n ESPN Unlimited subscription.

WWE is also the main story at the top of the ESPN website, running a preview for tomorrow's show.

Of course, several top ESPN execs did a media call earlier this week to promote the event as well.

This is the type of synergy and promotion WWE wanted they got into bed with ESPN and they are absolutely getting it.

They didn't sell it out. They didn't even come close. They did a great number but one that was less than the year before, which was lower than the year before that. And the higher numbers mind you, were for international shows which have performed better than their domestic shows.

Their attendance is declining and has been declining for years now. Since they chased Punk out of town. There's no indication that they will turn it around in the next 18 months either. They just finished a residency where they performed a month worth of shows in front of less than a 1000 people per show. And that wasn't the first ballroom residency nor the last. Like come on, they are visibly struggling.

All in did a great number, but that was after they gave out large amounts of tickets in the lead-up to the show. There was a lot of papering to even achieve that number, and there's no guarantee that they would be able to even do that much 18 months from now. Quick, who is going to headline this supposed show? Kyle Fletcher? Hangman Page? Jon Moxley? Toni Storm?

All I was saying, was that it's obviously bad business to try and counterprogram Wrestlemania. Is that really such a controversial statement? You really expect huge swarths of fans not to WATCH Wrestlemania and instead travel and pay premium prices to literally any other wrestling show?!
