We’ve learned more details on AJ Styles current deal. Especially considering a new post of an hourglass that seemed to tease retirement.

Earlier this year, there was heavy speculation on the contract of AJ Styles, and when it was scheduled to expire. Fightful Select found out from those close to Styles that his deal was extended for one-year. We’re told that WWE does hope to retain him after that period, but will evaluate things and his interest.

What we didn’t know at that point was when the contract actually expires, or how long the deal was. Sources close to Styles had indicated that the deal is up around February of 2026, which would have him expiring after the Royal Rumble and before WrestleMania season. Styles has long discussed the possibility of retirement, but hasn’t mentioned it much lately, and his in-ring work hasn’t suffered.

As announced last night on Smackdown, Corey Graves and Michael Cole will be calling that brand.

Wade Barrett will be off the road going forward PWInsiderElite.com has been told. He will not be calling Raw. Some have asked if this is fallout of Barrett's comments about Nikki Bella at the Clash in Paris event pre-show, but we haven't confirmed that is the case. Bella noted on her podcast she wasn't thrilled about Barrett's comments about her age at that show and stated he "avoided" her at Raw. Barrett stated on Twitter he didn't avoid her and would happy to speak with her then noted that they had spoken and the issue was squashed.

We are told the current plan is for Raw will remain Michael Cole and Corey Graves as well, so Graves went from being moved off the main roster announce team to being back on both shows.

AJ Lee officially signed to return to WWE last night, as the company showed on social media.

The word at last night's Smackdown was that Lee will be appearing on this Monday's Raw to seal the deal and set up her and CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at the 9/20 WWE WrestlePalooza event.

This will be Lee's first match since her 2015 retirement. She last wrestled in March of that year.
