*WWE Friday Night Smackdown on The USA Network will go back to two-hours on 7/4.

*This is a permanent change going forward. The three hour Smackdowns as done as of this week.

*Smackdown was always going back to two hours this summer, something we reported WAY back when the move to three hours was initially announced.

Wrestling Legend Jim Ross Says He's Cancer-Free

Fantastic news from Jim Ross -- the legendary wrestling commentator just revealed he's cancer-free after undergoing surgery to combat the disease last month.

There has been a lot of praise and talk surrounding WWE star Aleister Black in creative circles, PWInsiderElite.com can confirm.

In speaking to some of the same sources who told us several years ago that Damian Priest was earmarked to be elevated to upper card of the company (which certainly did happen), there's been a lot of discussion within creative management, wanting to raise Black's profile going forward on the Smackdown brand.

We are told this is why Black has been interacting with some many personalities in recent weeks and that the plan is to move Black upwards as the company has been happy with both his work and his merchandise sales thus far. It would also explain why Black hasn't lost a singles bout since his return to WWE back in May.

So, if all works out, Black will be utilized even more in the days and weeks ahead in the central storyline mix.
