While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.comnoted that WWE Smackdown is expected to continue as a three-hour show for the foreseeable future…

“Until USA changes the idea. It’s three hours until they change it. Originally it was gonna stop in June and USA had a show that they wanted to put on from 10 to 11 piggybacking off SmackDown, and for whatever reason, they made the call that it wasn’t worth it. And for their ratings, it’s not worth it – I think they realized that hour three (of SmackDown) is gonna do triple of anything (else) that they were gonna put on. SmackDown is so far and away the biggest show on that station. So yeah, they’re not making the move, at least for the foreseeable future, whatever that means.”

“No (WWE is not being paid extra to continue with a third hour). I guess the way they signed the contract, they must have given USA the option. Because if they were making more money on the deal it absolutely would have been said at the investors’ call, and we would have seen it, we would have seen the difference in the money. So obviously the money has not changed. Because if it had, we’d have been told.”

:scust:The 3 hour Road Dogg era continues

There have been online rumors making the rounds that WWE NXT will be holding a taping at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia this summer in advance of AEW's residency in the legendary venue. PWInsiderElite.com can confirm there is no date scheduled at the building currently after speaking to the Arena management. The venue is very much looking forward to hosting AEW for the first time and having ROH back under their roof. Management is very much aware of how influential it was for Tony Khan to attend ECW there as a kid back in 1996 and love the idea of him returning to run his own company there.

The word at the WWE Performance Center last week was that Jazz would be returning as a Guest Coach next month. We are told the former WWE Women's Champion got really good feedback from talents she worked with when she was last there.

The belief among talents we've spoke to is that GIULIA will be getting a lot of spotlight in the weeks ahead on The Smackdown brand.

When Carlito was asked how he felt about being the comedy guy in The Judgment Day, he revealed it was all his idea because creative had nothing for him, and he knew Triple H wasn’t about to give him a push.

“Those were all my ideas. ‘Cause I was like, I took literally [creative has] nothing for you, and I made something with it. You know what I mean? I went in there, I said I’m not gonna complain. I’m not gonna whatever. I knew I’m one of the older guys, I’m not gonna get prioritized. I’m not getting pushed. And Hunter’s not a fan of Carlito. I think personally he likes me, but I think he never was a big fan of the character. So what I did was like, okay let’s see, I’m in The Judgment Day...how can I stay in this group? And I thought, boom, this is what it’s missing.”
The writers would essentially hand Carlito the script, and he would add all of his funny one-liners.

“The writers were great. They gave me a bunch of freedom. They would come to me, ‘So we have this backstage [segment]. We don’t really have anything for you here, but we were hoping you can Carlito-fy it,’ is what they would say. So I would kind of just take the script and...find where I can kind of do something. And that’s kind of how it just took off from there. And then every week it was great...they gave me total freedom to do whatever I kind of wanted.”

And got paid for it all. Lol. Now he's a champion. I hope he shows up on NJPW...AEW...and other indie promotions

@TonyDubbz look what they sayin bout our girl!

An EVOLVE talent has impressed many in WWE.

Fightful Select spoke to sources in WWE that indicated that Kali Armstrong has turned heads of late, especially while working the recent EVOLVE tapings. There were people within the company who gave her high marks, as far as saying she could be a “future WrestleMania main eventer.”

Those that we heard from also said that she has already been discussed for a full on call up to the NXT roster. It was expected that she should get that call up while serving as EVOLVE Champion, and has already regularly been working NXT live events.
