Official Wrestling News Thread

I'll have to find tje full show tomorrow cus I forgot the shit was tonight. I saw ppl dunking on Triplemania and saying its usually ass tho. im curious to see how it was with the partnerships involved

Ahhh shit!

I’m ready for them to take Berto and make him into a breakout star. He has everything you could want in an upper mid card guy.

Man’s got the look and the talent. He had a great Speed match against Noam Dar. And this AAA stuff they’re gonna be doing is gonna showcase him more.

They need to be building stars on the men’s side cause they only seem to be focusing on Bron. HHH is gonna run into the same exact issue HBK has now

Hopefully this leads to something more for em. The worst thing they can do is ignore it on WWE TV.

Sports Illustrated reported this morning that a lawsuit was filed on 5/30 against AEW and Jon Moxley before Wayne County Circuit Court (Michigan) by Christopher Dispensa, who had been working for AEW as a contractor via a third party dating back to the promotion's formation as a production worker in 2019 for alleged negligence and injuries Dispensa claims he suffered at the hands of current AEW Champion Moxley during an AEW event in Michigan.

According to the SI article:

"Dispensa claims he suffered severe neck and shoulder injuries as a result of being shoved to the ground unexpectedly by Moxley during a match with Kenny Omega. Dispensa alleges in the lawsuit that the incident resulted in him requiring cervical fusion surgery, shoulder surgery, and treatment for other unspecified injuries.
Dispensa said the injuries occurred on the May 10, 2023 edition of AEW Dynamite in Detroit. There, Moxley faced Omega in a cage match, which ended up spilling to the outside. Moxley went to grab a screwdriver to use on Omega, and in doing so, shoved Dispensa to the ground. The lawsuit claims Moxley was supposed to only grab the screwdriver, and Dispensa took an unplanned fall as a result of being shoved. His legal team alleges this is an example of civil assault and battery, claiming that in allegedly deviating from the script, Moxley either showed intent to harm Dispensa, or “at a minimum a complete disregard for whether harm was a result.”
SI's report also states "The lawsuit alleges that Moxley “had a history of disciplinary issues before this incident involving other people while under [AEW’s] employ, agency and/or contractual relationship", something AEW sources denied to SI.

AEW declined to comment on the lawsuit.
