In speaking with several who were in attendance at the WWE EVOLVE TV taping last week, PWInsiderElite.com can confirm the following:
*Two-Three episodes were taped.
*The next taping will be Friday 2/21.
*The taping did not take place in the same section of the WWE Performance Center where NXT is filmed. It was in a much smaller part of the facility.
*The taping featured about two rows of fans on each side with dim lighting and the second row was raised slightly. We were told it was very much designed to look like pre-pandemic EVOLVE.
*There was a small video wall used as part of the production.
*WWE did not allow any photos to be taking during the taping in order to prevent spoilers.
*The taping audience was 90% friends and family of those working for WWE/NXT as opposed to traditional fans who regularly attend tapings. This was again to try and prevent spoilers.
*Peter Rosenberg was part of the commentary team.
*We are told the talents used were "a mix of PC trainees, WWE ID, NXT Level Up, and NXT wrestlers. Some of these people have been permanently transferred to EVOLVE."
*NXT GM Ava appeared at the end of the taping and announced an EVOLVE Champion would be crowned. She had an assistant holding a briefcase that contained the belt.
*Shawn Michaels came out at the end to thank everyone for taking part in the taping and inviting them back for 2/21.
