In speaking to sources in WWE's production circles, PWInsiderElite.com has learned more details as to what led to the Drew McIntyre blowup Saturday at the Royal Rumble.

We have confirmed with several that Drew McIntyre's elimination was supposed to happen earlier than it did, but a series of events messed up the timing cues.

According to several sources, the spot that would have seen McIntyre thrown over the top and then have the staredown with Damian Priest was supposed to have taken place prior to Logan Paul coming out as the final competitor in the match.

The idea being that Drew was trying to throw over Jey Uso and in that moment Priest stole the elimination, kickstarting a potential WrestleMania program between the two.

So what went wrong?

As it was explained to PWInsiderElite.com, several sequences involving LA Knight, including one with Roman Reigns took far longer than planned or expected. In speaking to one production source, they noted that everyone involved "probably needed a minute" of time to get back on track.

Once the music hit for Paul, that again delayed the elimination sequence.

When Paul arrived in the ring, he went right into his spots. He and Knight went into their planned interaction, with Knight then accidentally backing into McIntyre, Priest, and Uso, slowing their momentum and causing the clunky looking elimination.

All of this would likely explain McIntyre's complaints about someone getting their moves in at the expense of the stories being told in the Rumble match - there were issues with sequences involving Knight that led to everything being delayed and then running into the Logan entrance - and then the attempt to finally do the big spot went awry as well.

Kevin Owens was receiving a lot of praise behind the scenes coming out of the WWE Royal Rumble event, not just for the insane bumps he took during the Ladder Match with Cody Rhodes but also for his part in putting the match together. We are told that Cody Rhodes and others involved in the planning were all praising Owens when given compliments on the match, saying Owens deserved the credit.

When asked about IShowSpeed, we were told the company absolutely "adored" him and would love to have him involved down the line, possibly at Wrestlemania. The company will be doing some merchandise for him in conjunction with his appearance. He was there to help get outside attention on the company and delivered that in an absolutely insane way.

The attorneys for Kevin Kelly and The Tate Twins filed a motion for an extension of time in responding to AEW's request to move their lawsuit to arbitration in Florida. They were originally supposed to respond to the court within a week but stated they did not receive the court's paperwork as they had not been officially approved to represent Kelly and The Tates in Florida until after.

Drew wants perfect professionalism while having unprofessional emotional outbursts and storming out the office…

That's the reason you don't date co workers but I understand why they do it. On the road with each other for most of the year at the same time when shit go bad you're on the road with them most of the year.

Andrade about to get let go or sent to NXT. Homie came back to nothing so far so they probably don't got much in the basket for him anyway
