Official Wrestling News Thread

We don't know if it's THE announcement, but Fightful can confirm an upcoming announcement is happening sooner than later.

Fightful Select has learned an announcement regarding an upcoming All Elite Wrestling reality series is coming. AEW was working on the series late last year, as Fightful Select had reported. It's worth noting that Mat Men Radio's Andrew Zarian had a lead on this announcement earlier this week.

Those that we spoke to during the filming said that they were giving the option of whether or not they wanted to participate, and that it would take a look at some behind the scenes situations in the company.

Kathleen Finch, Chief Lifestyles Brand Officer for Warner Bros. Discovery said in October that Warner Bros. Discovery wanted to do more with AEW. Production for the series began shortly after, as cameras were at AEW Dynamite in Baltimore in early November.

Eff what Dave talking bout’. All this says to me is that despite so-called “failing ratings” the people that actually know and that actually matter(ie. the network) love AEW and want more of it. Bodes well for their renewal talks and for the industry as a whole. The 2 top promotions on premier cable channels is good for the wrestling business.

I first learned of Trish thru the magazine Muscle Development.

Her booty hole n coochie lips stayed peaking out.

But Nina Mercedes did all the things that Trish wouldn’t

It was noted that WWE officials are “incredibly impressed” with how much appealing Rhodes is when it comes to selling merchandise to younger fans. Rhodes is getting high internal marks and high numbers for items that are targeted at kids.

There’s a feeling within WWE that Rhodes is someone who has crossover appeal across multiple generations, with adults and children really liking him. There’s also the feeling that WWE is onto “something special” with Rhodes, and that they can use him and exploit this, in a good way, to make money and to continue to get Rhodes over so that they can position him as a top talent.

Cody about to fuck around and be the new face of WWE.

The “huge” announcement gimmick worked…

Except TK's quarter did the lowest viewership of the show last night and it went up after

That is if he stick around

Idk what his plans are after he finally wins the big one but with the way he keep talking about "finishing the story" it kinda make it seem like he aint gone be around for too long.

and if thats the case then I could see him winning the title, having a lengthy reign this year before losing it and then goin on a heel run for right afterwards to wrap up his last 3rd year where he'll put somebody over on the way out and then head back to AEW.

I mean I could be wrong but its kinda crazy to think that he wont go back to AEW at some point to right the wrongs of his first run over there (No world title run) + hes a big part of the company so it makes a lot of sense

Some reason I dont see him going back to AEW. The finish the story thing to me was just about winning the world title for his dad since he didnt win one or his brother but stranger things have happened. It just seemed he always wanted to be in WWE he just had to prove he was a top guy and just happened to fall in line with the start up of AEW.

Not happening. When Cody was in AEW in his last few months he was stuck in the TNT Title picture swapping the title back & forth. Cody left AEW because he wanted to be in a role similar to what his dad was doing but Tony Khan completely took over as head of creative. I remember at some point of reading or hearing about Cody wanting to go into politics once he was done wrestling.

I don't see Cody going from Undisputed WWE Champion back to AEW to be booked like shit. It's a reason why AEW is second to WWE. Miro hasn't been on TV in ages, The House of Black was booked like shit last year, CM Punk was a flash in a pan (due to injuries), Moxley bleeds every week on TV, etc.,

I think the best stories right now are DB vs MJF, Orange Cassidy's run as All-Atlantic Champ, & Samoa Joe as double TV champ.

They tryin to squander HoB talent. That group imo is a AEW version of JD...but way more violent. They gotta put that Trios Title on them.

MJF & DB got me more invested this past Wednesday. At some point in his career...MJF needs to be a promo instructor.
