AEW is set to change a lot of things in 2023 for their broadcast, but their theme song isn't one of them, well at least entirely.

Grapsody's Will Washington has learned from multiple AEW sources that "Light the Fuse" will be staying on the top of the AEW Dynamite broadcast, albeit an altered version. Washington was told that it was a "slight remix" of the No One Hero song.

Tony Khan previously told Grapsody that there will be set and production changes that are happening, but reiterated that the wrestling, performers and the like would remain the same. Those that we spoke to said that is also the same for the broadcast team.

Mike Mansury, who was a big hire for AEW's production team, is set to kick his work into full gear in the new year. We're told that the approach he took when accepting the job was that there was plenty off work that could be done, but that it was good work that would improve the brand.

As PWInsider.com broke several weeks ago, New Japan Pro Wrestling is bringing Mercedes Varnado in for tomorrow's 1/4 Wrestle Kingdom 17 event at the Tokyo Dome.

Varnado will have some personal support at the event, even if not seen on camera. The word we heard making the rounds last night, which we confirmed this morning, is that Varnado's long-time friend and top on-screen partner and nemesis Bayley will be in Tokyo this Wednesday.

Obviously, Bayley is under contract to WWE and likely shouldn't be expected to be seen on camera, but we are told she will be there. In asking around, we could not confirm that WWE sent Bayley to the show, but it's entirely possible (and probably likely) she headed to Japan herself to be there for Varnado given their long standing friendship.

As we reported yesterday, Banks' WWE Women's Tag Team Championship partner Trinity "Naomi" Fatu was also heading to Japan, something Fatu confirmed earlier today on her social media as she is now in Tokyo. Whether she appears or not on camera remains to be seen, but New Japan sources previously indicated they did not bring Naomi over.

The expectation is Varnado will make some sort of appearance during the IWGP Women's Championship match tomorrow.

Booker T announced that the NXT Announcer job, which was supposed to only run through December, is now his full time job. He said he doesn't know where that leaves Wade Barrett.

Also reported Naomi is scheduled back to WWE.

Already reported when Tony Khan was asked about Saraya's suprise partner being Sasha in a peivate setting he just got quiet instead of shooting it down which usually indicates he as something up his sleeve. Looks like AEW and NJPW will be here home but well see.
