All Elite Wrestling announced this morning that they have signed Paul Wight aka former WWF and WCW World Champion Big Show, 49, to a multi-year contract.
So, what happened?
PWInsider.com is told that WWE and Wight were unable to come to terms on a new deal financially and his final contract with the company last month, days after he made an appearance being verbally bullied by Randy Orton on the Raw Legends Night episode on 1/4. One source stated that Wight was very open that night about his unhappiness about the situation. Wight, who did not publicly announce his departure, was moved this week to WWE.com's Alumni section on 2/19.

Can't front. I thought Big Show was WWE 4 Life. Especially since they was promoting his netflix show hard. Oh well, that just means anyone can get scooped up. All WWE do is renew contracts and hoard talent. AEW effect. I predict some big names to jump ship in the next two years

Because of AEW I have literally dropped off NXT just from recording it and just not getting around to playing it. Now I can watch live comfortably.
Hopefully this will get AEW to a million views consistently. I'd give them the easy W against NXT during their head to head. Now they just got to take in some of those NXT fans on Wed and hit the mill and keep it.
