WWE has released The Authors of Pain.

It was announced today that WWE has released Akam and Rezar from their contracts. WWE issued the following on their departures:

AOP has been off WWE TV since Rezar suffered a bicep injury back in March, right as they were in the middle of a push on RAW with Seth Rollins and Murphy. The push came as they had a big fan in Paul Heyman, who was working creative as the RAW Executive Director at that time. The decision was made then to also pull Akam off TV until Rezar was able to return.

It was reported on August 27, via the Wrestling Observer, that AOP would not be working with Rollins when they did return. It was also reported then that the tag team was expected to be back on TV some time between September and the end of this year. There’s no word yet on what led to the departure, but we will keep you updated.

Akam first signed with WWE in October 2014. He formed the tag team with Rezar in February 2016, just a few months after Rezar signed in the fall of 2015. The Authors of Pain would go on to hold the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles once, before being called to the main roster for a spot on the RAW brand in April 2018.

Stay tuned for updates.

I liked them and thought they would of dominated the tag division but shit, they couldn't go more than a few months without one of them getting hurt.

they literally spent more time on the sidelines with injuries than they did competing. Kinda surprised they even made it this long after the company made all those cuts

Uh oh

I just watched Mia Yim raised 1k for a cancer charity while playing Mario Maker. This was like a day or two after Chadwick passed. Watchin Woods Breeze, Cesaro, and AC streaming together is enjoyable and hilarious af.

A lot of them DO it for charity. Others do it show the fans they're gamers just like them. Plus this gives the WWE even MORE exposure. Man fucc Vince. SMH.

I was actually happy for wwe because I liked seeing wrestlers being able to do other shit outside of wwe but now this smh. Just flat out stupid

detrimental to the company? how? The fans LOVE seeing the other side to everyone... smh

So no more up up down down from Xavier Woods. These guys need to stand up to his senile ass, I know AJ Styles and other top guys be using these platforms. I doubt the company go through with this if top guys speak out, they not risking them going to AEW

Read this article and look at the tweets included. They definitely need a union

Wwe hofer Jessie Ventura tried to unionize the wwf in the 80's.....Vince almost fired him after Hogan snitched about Ventura intentions.
