Vince just does shit to do it.

He must be confusing this I think with 2001 during the Two Man Power Trip storyline… cuz Triple H wasn’t the IC champ in 1999. Kane was one half of the tag champs with X Pac tho.

Taker was the champion for an only a month & he dropped it to Austin the night after KOTR. This conversation may of took place a couple weeks after he won but it wasn’t like he dropped the title that night.

Owen’s death along with Vince being revealed as the higher power kinda made Takers run as champion take a backseat.

I remember the Higher Powerr storyline and remember the excitement just evaporating immediately once Vince revealed himself. Like nigga!!! You plotted for a week & fed Austin the info😂; had your own daughter kidnapped and for what?!

I remember being so annoyed lol. That’s how stupid that Russo booking could be even with Vince filtering that shit. You can tell they had no real plans long term for it. I was convinced the higher power was gonna be Jake Roberts lol.
