It looks like Jade is the favorite to win this battle of babyfaces and take home the gold. However, many of Jade’s critics argue that her skills in the ring are well below average, and WWE is only pushing her because she looks like a star.

With that in mind, Busted Open Radio asked Cargill what she has to say to the critics who think she isn’t ready to win the top women’s belt in WWE. Here is Jade’s response:

“I can care less what they think. I feel like...I know who I am. I know what I’m capable of. And I think people rush things so quick. I think that people put such a target on my back. Regardless, I can go out there and deliver a great match, people are gonna pinpoint something. They’re gonna find something, something, something because of who I am, and how I’ve been delivered, how quick I grew up in this game, who I have supporting me, how I look, that I don’t need this career.
So, I can care less because they’re not the ones out there. They’re not the ones that have to deal with what I have to deal with in and out every single day, and what goes through our mind. I listen to the people that want to see me go out there and be my best. I listen to the people that want me to excel, and they know that I’m gonna be a household legend.”

Considering how much online abuse women in particular get in pro wrestling, Jade is likely right about how people would still find things to pick apart about her work even if she did have great matches. The problem is that this is an exercise in theory for now because I don’t think she’s ever had a great singles match in WWE. Hence, the criticism of why she isn’t ready to be champion when there are so many other super talented women on the roster.
