For those wondering why R-Truth vs. Aleister Black was just 90 seconds on last night's Friday Night Smackdown after several weeks of being built up, there was a very good reason for it, PWInsiderElite.com has learned.

While the finish went as planned, the length of the match and much of what was planned bell to bell was drastically cut due to the segment involving Jellyroll and Logan Paul, etc. going much longer than initially planned out. Since time had to be cut from the broadcast on the fly, Truth vs. Black lost the lion's share of their time.

One WWE source described it as a "necessary evil" and that the short bout shouldn't have been seen as a knock on either Truth or Black. We are told that had the match gone it's originally planned length, there would have been far more in terms of a competitive bout, as opposed to the one-sided nature of Truth winning.

The short match surprised a LOT of people in the back given how strong Truth has been pushed in recent weeks since his return and the planned ascension of Black on the Smackdown side of the roster.

We are told by WWE sources that Seth Rollins was originally set to defeat LA Knight on tonight's edition of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.

Knight winning was a last second call to end the bout after Rollins tweaked his knee.

There is no word yet on the severity but all signs are the Rollins injury tonight was legitimate.

For those who have asked, there was no plan for Seth Rollins to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on either GUNTHER or Bill Goldberg last night, PWInsiderElite.com can confirm.

The only change to last night's plans on WWE Saturday Night's Main Event was that Rollins was originally slated to defeat LA Knight, but the injury changed those plans on the fly.

Goldberg was always slated to lose his retirement match to GUNTHER.

We are told that GUNTHER's Summerslam plans were already set in stone prior to this weekend and that storyline will begin this or next week on Raw. Seth Rollins was not part of those plans.

Hmmm okay so I think Gunther's Summerslam match might indeed be Punk but I feel that the Seth injury gonna have the same cascade effect on multiple ppl's creative just like when Liv went down.

They didnt steal any headlines... NXT show felt like there was zero energy in the building and hardly anyone was watching anyway cause they were set up to fail no matter how hard they worked out there. Seth their main heel right now gets injured and Goldberg's farewell celebration was cut. Embarrassing night for Big Nose and TKKKO

For those who have asked, the Adam Cole deal is not a work and is a legitimate situation. Cole has not disclosed what the nature of the issue is at this time. The emotion you saw last night was very much real and not part of any worked storyline. When asked, AEW sources to a person said it is Cole's story to tell.

Sting and his sons were backstage at AEW All In: Texas.

Wardlow was also backstage as he's done filming American Gladiators in France.

Former TNA Champion James Storm also came by to visit. We haven't heard any indication of AEW using him.
