PWInsiderElite.com has confirmed further details of the current rift between WWE and Alexa Bliss.

As we broke yesterday, WWE informed their Creative Team that Bliss was not to be factored into any forthcoming plans and her return at Raw in San Jose, CA was off. One source told us they believed it was a contractual issue.

We have since confirmed that it is indeed a contractual issue: We are told that Bliss has been seeking a new contract, while WWE expects Bliss to return under the terms of her older, existing deal.

The belief within the company was that Bliss would secretly come to the 1/13 Raw on Netflix taping in San Jose, CA and at that point, return regularly as a member of the Raw brand

PWInsiderElite.com is told by numerous sources that at some point just ahead of the San Jose Raw, representatives for Bliss contracted WWE and informed the company they wished to open discussions for a new contract ahead of Bliss' return.

Bliss was seeking a brand new deal (and obviously more money/perks) but WWE wanted her to return under her existing deal, which had been extended due to her time away from the company. We are told that when Bliss' side dug in about wanting the new deal, WWE instead played hard-ball back, pulling plans for her return in San Jose and froze all the Bliss creative plans in carbonite.

We are told the two sides have remained at odds since that time.

This would be why the return never happened with The Wyatt Sicks instead shifted over to The Smackdown brand.

Bliss last wrestled at the 2023 Royal Rumble, losing to Bianca Belair. Since then, she's celebrated the birth of her first daughter and has gone through several health issues. Bliss has noted on social media she recently returned to her pre-pregnancy weight. WWE sources had previously told PWInsiderElite.com that Bliss was expected back by the start of Wrestlemania season, which kicks off at the Royal Rumble.

Bliss removed all references to WWE on her social media bios on Tuesday 1/14, the day after she was originally set to return to Raw.

For those who have asked, Malakai Black is indeed done with AEW.

We are told by a source that there are no conversations about Black making any final appearances.

We are also told he would not be free and clear in time for the WWE Royal Rumble match. As we have noted, he is believed to be free and clear sometime in February or March.

WWE's Dragon Lee announced his daughter is about to be born. He noted a few days ago this was why he hasn't been at TV.

Jade Cargill is back in the ring at the WWE Performance Center today.

WWE will again stream WWE Saturday Night's Main Event on their YouTube channel for international viewers. If you attempt to watch the stream and it doesn't work, that means it has been Geoblocked in your area.

WWE is sending Rey Mysterio to SNME this Saturday we are told.

WWE Hall of Famer DDP was at WWE NXT on Tuesday.

UFC star Kamaru Usman visiting WWE HQ in Stamford, CT yesterday.

We keep getting asked about this, so, for the record, WWE still owns the old Titan Tower building. It has not been sold.
