Penta, identified as a former Lucha Underground Champion, debuted on tonight's edition of Monday Night Raw, defeating Chad Gable before cutting a post-match promo in the ring. His family was shown sitting in the front row. The WWE audience in San Jose was very familiar with Penta and his catch phrase.

We have had readers ask whether Penta was hurt during the bout, but in asking around, we are told he was selling his leg.

We did confirm that between the 13 minute match and his post-match promo, Penta went way longer than he was initially planned to go, which led to time being trimmed from other segments later in the show. There were some talents obviously not thrilled about that, as you can imagine.

That said, we are told management was happy with the debut and with Penta's reaction live.

WWE already has a ton of new merchandise for Penta on sale. We are told internally, they were happy with the early merch numbers as well.

He is officially on the Raw brand.

Mans is NOT happy about being sent down to NXT

Graves was recently moved to the WWE NXT brand after WWE shuffled the deck with announcing teams with the onset of new TV deals, setting Michael Cole and Pat McAfee as the voices of Raw for the Netflix premiere while Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett became the voices of Smackdown. This left Graves on the outs, with him shifting to the #3 man on the NXT New Year's Evil broadcast team last week.

PWInsider.com can confirm there had been rumblings over the last several weeks that Graves wasn't happy with his positioning within the company, something his social media posting would certainly seem to confirm. Graves' tweet leaves very little to the imagination as he is very clearly placing blame on the fact that he doesn't carry the fame or clout of McAfee and/or Tessitore as the reason he is not on Raw or Smackdown going forward.

Certainly Graves wasn't moved based on the quality of his work as I don't believe anyone would argue he's NOT good at his job. Clearly, he is, so something else is going on here.

We are told Graves is currently scheduled for tonight's NXT broadcast on the CW Network. Whether his tweet is an indication of bigger issues remains to be seen, but it does not come across as if Graves is happy. Graves' comment about "where he's been" given he was just on the CW Network within the last week working for the company very much gives that away. Stay tuned.

Should have sent Mcafee to NXT since he's not going to be around when football season starts.

They not gonna pay that man all that money just to go to NXT. Sucks for Cory but football season starts 8 months from now. He’ll probably be back on Raw then.

But… the show ended 30 minutes early???

This doesn’t make much sense.
