This sounds horrible already
I thought Cena would be going all in which includes putting in work to not look like the washed up parody of himself he's been for the last several years
But it looks like we just gonna be getting "Hey Brooklyn I'm happy to be here one last time!!! Hey Toronto I'm just happy to be here one last time!!!" while looking as lifeless in the ring as the Miz

Idk man I think Cena will def put in work for some of these final matches and im sure they will get better the deeper he gets into the final run.

He never needed to go for the title but I have a feeling he will in one of those final matches.

I hope so cause I dont care to watch a year's worth of Cena in-ring like he did against Theory / Solo / and anybody else over the last 2 years.

But I bet for a fact he's getting #17

LOL Theory again???

Only person here who can benefit from this and it makes all the sense is Melo. I definitely see Melo / Cena crossing paths since they've positioned Melo to interact with all the top guys.
Honestly Melo needs it the most.

He’s been stuck in limbo as enhancement talent since he made it to main.

He’s basically Xpac at this point

Melo has been consistently on tv week in and week out.

He was the first to pin Randy Orton since he came back.

Participated in MITB

Carried the Smackdown mid card scene

And has been around all the top guys not named Roman, including matches with Cody twice.

And he's getting heat

His booking hasnt been perfect and you can argue he should be US champ. In fact had AJ not gotten hurt, Melo would be US Champ already and would have been tasked with leading AJ's retirement angle.

He's far from stuck in limbo.

He’s treading water.

Doggy paddling.

He deserves better.

i reckon I am being a bit unfair in expecting the momentum he had in NXT to carry over to main.

Maybe that’s where my disconnect with his last year stems from.

No he's not

You just expected this dude to come up and immediately get the rocket strapped meanwhile he's been a key player on Smackdown the entire time he's been up.
