The expectation within WWE is that Bruce Prichard, the company's Executive Director - CWT, will be returning to his duties as soon as this week.
As we reported back in November 2024 in the Elite section of PWInsider.com, there had been a lot of unfounded rumors related to Bruce Prichard's standing with WWE. At the time, I wrote, "In the case of Prichard, there's been rumors passed around, but nothing we've been able to source as correct and in many cases, the rumors have been outright denied to us. Since the Internet likes to assume things are correct when there's nothing to it (see: Fatu, Jacob outrage earlier this week), I highly advise caution when it comes to believing everything being thrown against the wall."
Conrad Thompson,
who hosts Prichard's podcast, later announced on their show, "I just want to address the elephant in the room. There’s been a lot of rumor and innuendo about Bruce Prichard. Just to clear it up, Bruce Prichard is still with WWE. Bruce Prichard is not quitting his podcast, but if you’re a longtime listener of this show, you know that there have been health events in the Prichard family and household and right now, Bruce is going to take a little bit of a leave of absence from WWE, and he’s going to be away, taking care of what’s really important.”
We are told that internally, Prichard is expected back as soon as tomorrow's Smackdown taping.
