Following his return to WWE this week, Bruce Prichard addressed the future of his podcast on Something to Wrestle and what it was like being at television tapings.
The latest episode of Bruce’s show began with a somber playing of Green Day’s “Time of Your Life,” but his WWE hiring wasn’t discussed until the end of the show.
“I’m extremely proud and extremely happy to be back in the family at WWE,” Prichard stated. “I had my first TVs back this past week. I had an absolute blast seeing everybody.”
Adding, “I’m not being coy, but a lot still needs to be worked out as far as what my role will be. I’m going to come back and help out wherever I can be most valuable. We’re working through it, we’re figuring out where I might fit best and how and what and why and everything else. It’s something that happened pretty quickly with me going to TV.”
Prichard laughed off reports that he’s now Vince McMahon’s right hand man.
According to multiple sources, Bruce is telling the truth about his role on the creative team. We’re told initial reports describing his current job as being “as important as possible” and that he will be one of the top point people in the creative team going forward were overblown.
Our sources say Bruce still answers to many people on the creative team at this point.
Prichard did, however, produce the awesome Batista segment involving Ric Flair and Triple H.
“A lot has changed in 10 years,” Prichard continued while explaining his role in WWE. “I have to see where I fit in and they have to see where I fit in. There’s still a lot of questions to be answered, and I’m looking forward to an incredible journey.”
Lastly, Something to Wrestle fans can breathe easy. Conrad Thompson and Bruce claim they’ll still be releasing new episodes every week. The live shows are likely ending though.
