Hoping for the best for all those who will most likely be losing their jobs due to this merger in the next coming weeks

The word making the rounds backstage at Monday Night Raw tonight among talents was that Matt Riddle was pulled due to a "medical illness."

As we noted earlier tonight, Riddle is also no longer expected to work this weekend's WWE live events in Idaho and Washington State.

As covered over the weekend, there is a investigation into Riddle's interaction with a Port Authority Police Officer at JFK Airport after returning from WWE's Superstar Spectacle in India.

For those who have asked, there was nothing regarding tomorrow's Endeavor acquisition of World Wrestling Entertainment relayed to the Raw roster at tonight's taping. No meeting, no announcement, no acknowledgment at all.

So, the final WWE event run and promoted under the McMahon family ownership came and went without anything said about that historical moment.

Instead, the crew and roster were working on the show, which we are told wasn't finalized until around 5 PM Eastern with lots of matches and backstage segments shifted, added and dropped until then.

Vince McMahon was not physically present at the event.

Paul Levesque and Bruce Prichard ran the taping, as is usually the norm.

The official announcement of Endeavor taking over WWE is expected Tuesday morning.
