I have a feeling that Fertitta wants to fire the GM and coach anyway. They have pretty much made D’antoni a lame duck coach coming into this season by letting go of some of his coaching staff and not negotiating a new deal for him.

If the Rockets start off slow I could see the new owner wanting to fire Mike. If they don’t go far in the playoffs I can see him doing it also.

I honestly think D’antoni deserved more respect than what they’ve showed this off season to him.
