  • Offseason implications: Is Mo Bamba a bust?
Bamba didn't get off the bench until the final six minutes of Orlando's first two games. Khem Birch, a 27-year-old journeyman, is playing ahead of him, and there is no indication that's going to change.

It was hard to watch Bamba amble onto the court for those final few minutes and think about how much different things would be for the Magic with a different break in the 2018 NBA draft. Here are three players who went ahead of Bamba (No. 6): Luka Doncic, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Trae Young. Taken right after him? Wendell Carter Jr. Taken later in the lottery? Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Michael Porter Jr.

Put any one of those six players on Orlando's roster and both the present and the future are much brighter. Instead, the Magic remain on the treadmill of mediocrity and without many options to meaningfully improve this summer.

I think there’s a chance jimmy will but Dragic won’t

I think keeping Dragic healthy is more important

he’s a huge reason why we are successful, we need him fresh and 100%

Niggas blaming Morey for melo being outta work? That’s crazy.

Plenty of teams will reach out to another teams gm and coach to get their take on a player. If you cut a nigga the way they did after 10 games you probably not gonna offer a ringing endorsement.

It's not all on morey and dantoni but its not a ridiculous hot take either. They played a part in what happened.

I'm genuinely happy for Melo and didnt like the way his time ended in Houston.....with that being said people act like the data didnt back up what you saw on court.....Melo sucks on defense and is inefficient on offense, he's 35-36 years old and is just now getting in the best shape of his career since his rookie season and teams were better with him on the bench(OKC basically dumped him before we did)

He looks good for Portland because their roster was completely dismantled and they were relying on the likes of Mario Hezojna and Nassir Little so he actually was an upgrade for them and had a positive impact....Melo is shooting good from 3pt for the first time in 6 years and the 3rd best 3pt% of his career right now(probably because he lost weight)

Some real revisionist history going on right now

the pistons have a new arena but no marketable players which is why they gotta do that

they have 2 household names in Derrick Rose and blake Griffin

Both are 30 blake always in a suit and casual fans don’t even know rose is there but even so, he’s not even a star

can’t market wood, Sekou, or kennard

plus they in Detroit
