There is a better chance with the U.S. than ISIS. Iraq is a sovereign nation. The U.S. can't really legally occupy them if they don't want us there. Whether most people realize it or not, this does put pressure on the Trump administration. Whether Trump does anything about it or not, remains to be seen, but you can bet that it may play in to the election and that if he loses, the next president will prioritize doing something about the situation. So yeah, the protest might have some effect when it comes to U.S. policy. With ISIS, that gathering would have just mean a million mutha fuckas to kill.
